Daniela Rosignoli

Daniela Rosignoli was born in 1957 in Montepulciano (Siena), where she lives and works as a teacher in a Primary school.
Prof. Maria Russo states: “…to Daniela making art is an ancient and perpetually renewed way of life which shows, with its absolute originality, how she is able to communicate through artistic expression her own sensibility, but also pain, joy or thoughts. Her poetic and pictorial creations can’t be enclosed in a movement or in a definition, they express her mood and enrich her life; those who approach her works, are invited to show up themselves, taking again into account the sensitive ego, the contemplative ego without mystifications, away from schemes and etiquettes.
Many works are realized in the technique of DRIPPING, which has been further developed in a personal and original way by Daniela.
In the course of years, Daniela participated in several individual or collective exhibitions in Florence, Montepulciano, Pienza, Castelfranco di Sopra Rigomagno and Chiusi.
Among them the most important events were: 2002 “Incontro d’anime (Encounter of Souls) – Art as a language – Picture, Music and Poetry” and 2005 “La vita è un sogno (Life is a dream)…poems and pictures by Daniela Rosignoli”, both events at Caffé Poliziano, in Montepulciano.
In the years 2008 and 2009 Daniela developed a particular project “ La ragione…Il mito… Il sogno” (Reason..Myth…Dream) and presented it in Chiusi and in Montepulciano, where the main purpose was to let the exhibition become a meeting point in association with various events, like wine and food tasting.
In the year 2009 she was selected to participate in the prize/exhibition for contemporary art, "Lune di Primavera – io/Noi, la cultura/LE CULTURE –Spring moons – I/We – culture/ CULTURES” organized by the International committee March 8th, Perugia, where she also resulted among the winners.
From the collaboration with Maestro Enrique Mazzola and Manfredi Rutelli, Art Director of the Chiusi Festival “Orizzonti” arose the event “Messa in spazio dei dipinti di Daniela Rosignoli (Putting in space the pictures by Daniela Rosignoli) ”, which took place on 9th August 2009 at P. Mascagni Theater in Chiusi. Here Maestro Enrique Mazzola directed a concert of the Hanseatic Chamber Orchestra from Danzig in the scenes embellished by Daniela’s pictures.

About the drawings by DANIELA ROSIGNOLI

The short writings below, are neither para-poetical integrations, nor trials of interpretations, nor critical statements. On the contrary, they are respectful but free variations on images, unauthorized authoritarian translations, evocations and walking-sticks. Hermeneutics and critics are the dawn and the noon of talking about art. Here, I am interested in the sunset and in the night.

PALESTINE (Palestina)
Each passion is drowned or accomplished into the blood, until memory and identity vanish. The sense walks in it: the sense, all that remains of a body “made like God and in his image” and spoiled. And the passion devours, indeed, and every light is overwhelmed.

INSIDE (Dentro)
It’s me, it’s me, it’s me, it’s me, it’s me, it’s me, it’s me.

SOULS (GUANTÁNAMO) (Anime – Guantánamo)
Seen from afar – slow motion – the broadcast is from a satellite – the film is in infrared – it will appear, far away from the mind any pain of others, unreflectable within a mirror. With eyes closed, we can do two things: to ignore, or to fall in desperation imagining the invisible. From afar every pain of ours is a flower blossoming and withering – fast motion: a punctiform explosion in a desert, a nothing inside the nothing of others’ pain.

MOON WIND (Vento lunare)
Surface deepness in violet.
