Rocío Pérez Vallejo was born in Mexico in 1980. Since her first creations her work has been evolving from bright high pitch coloring to more subtle and light treatment of the mediums she uses, with frequent references to the feminine realm reminding us the erotic found in female shapes, her most recent works communicate an intimate and poetic approach, subtle lights, a delicate touch, never inappropriate.
Through her art we penetrate the labyrinths of consciousness that affect our sensitive ego. These labyrinths are manifested through plastic codes that reveal the construction of her artistic identity. Rocío is very conscious of the world that surrounds her, often using recycled materials that have their own history and memories associated with the loved ones: her grandmother's old suitcases, glasses shaped through the years from the seashore, materials found in the attic of the house in Mexico.
