Cristiano Carotti was born in 1981 in Terni, where he lives and works.
He studied painting techniques and graphic art at “International Art School” (Accademia di Belle Arti) in Terni and he got his specialization in Painting and Drawing.
He took part in several art competitions, events and exhibitions. His works are permanently exhibited at Canovaccio Gallery in Terni.
He usually tries to find new material and artistic languages. Currently his last work is the video “Where’s The Rainbow?” that he wrote and directed in collaboration with the film-maker Matteo Duranti.
In 2006 he exhibited at Ipso Art Gallery in Perugia for the event “Notte in Colore da Perugia a Terni”.
In 2007 he participated at the award “Premio Open Art 2007” in Rome at the pavilion “Sale del Bramante” and at the exhibition “Roma 2007” in the Crispi Gallery at the exhibition room “Sale Agostiniane e Basilica di Santa Maria del Popolo”.
In 2008 he made his first solo “Decompression Chamber” with the participation of Accademia di Belle Arti of Terni. The event, shown at Canovaccio Gallery, had a great public and critical success.
In the same year he was invited to participate at the event by Sonia Rondini “Rivoluzione Estatica” at Villa Fidelia in Spello (Perugia) and at the group exhibitions “Fleurs-opere d’amore” in Cascia (Perugia), by Francesco Santaniello and Teresa Dominijanni, and “L’inconsapevolezza dell’essere” in Albenga (Genova), by Marzia Taggiano.
In 2008 he was also at the Spoleto Festival with the exhibition “Heads: il collezionista di teste”, by Lorenzo Barbaresi.
In early 2009 he made the solo exhibition “Project for a fashion head and other visions” at “ Caffè di Perugia” for the event “Perugia Fashion Week”.
