Paola Ferraris was born in Vercelli in1978, and she graduated in 2002 at the Fine Art's Academy of Turin.
From 1996 to 2002 she studied also aplied art to design and worked with several architechts in Milan, on further study on the design and the light.
In 2002 she interwed Ettore Sottsass and cooperated with Alessandro Mendini architecture's study.
At the same time she was the rapporteur for the Lombardy region and the EU in the role of teacher trainers within the project with “Art in Network”.
From 2004 to 2009 she took a stage at Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo in Turin. She collaborated and organized with Professor R. Bellini a cycle of seminars at the Academy of Fine Arts with the collaboration of Rinat Touliganov and she was assistent of Pietro Gilardi.
She writes for several sites, including “Architettare.it” which was a shared project with some architects on Rome.
She took part in various exhibitions.
For the exhibition “Humans & Gods” she presents two canvasses of a serie inspired to the situation in Israel and Palestine. Paola Ferraris wants to be more attentive to the tension of the historical moment and to the difficulties of those men intent to execute orders. Artistically Paola Ferraris became part of the post-modern figurative Italian trend of recent years.The news of her artistic work consists in her particular point of view. The framing of the scene, with few and simple strokes, communicates the emotion of that situation. |
