Antonella Boscarini

The artist lives in Grottaferrata (Rome). University degree in Decoration from the Accademy of Fine Arts of Rome.
An international artist, who has exhibited in Italy, France and England in galleries and museums, where her artwork permanently resides.
Multifaceted, with experience in oil painting, graphics (incisions), bronze (investment casting), ceramic resin and sculptures made reused materials (iron).
She has been committed for many years in one of her social projects:

THE POETRY OF SCRAPS

Sculptures made with recycled material: iron and antique pieces which bring the past to mind. The iron is not forged but is exclusively assembled in a creative play to give light and life to a new identity. Unique pieces.
The artist is motivated by the need to sensitize society to recycle discarded material, current theme that is slowly taking hold which she has been spreading with strong conviction for many years.
“The poetry of scraps” is a travelling exhibit of sculptures where the artist…asks the municipality, the province, public and private instruction, Italian and foreign galleries to host her. To date she has received the praise and agreement by the review of various private and public institutions which have hosted her in addition to the inauguration of numerous banks
Her continued work in artistic and experimental research, invests with enthusiasm, curiosity and energy, with the motivating drive for an answer to one of her creative needs and speed of action for continued social commitment.

“Sometimes it is the artwork itself that seeks and finds its space in the artist’s mind and heart; sometimes it is the encounter is of those that meet halfway, with someone determined like Antonella who chooses to transform lived traces left behind, into something that retrieves life. And so her creativity, committed to the rebirth of the object, be it scraps or an old piece of wood, finds ways and signs that smack of magic, of secret alchemy which stupefy us like children…”(Beppe Palomba)
